Hi, I’m Gary Anderson, a fully qualified DVSA-approved driving instructor. I specialise in automatic lessons, helping people feel calm, confident and in control behind the wheel.
I know that taking driving lessons can feel like a big step, especially if you are nervous or have had a difficult experience before. My lessons are friendly and relaxed, with clear explanations and no pressure to rush.
Everyone learns differently. I take time to understand what works for you, explain things in another way when it helps, and build each lesson around your confidence and progress.

I run my driving school entirely paper-free, using a bespoke digital system on my iPad to manage everything from new enquiries and pupil registration to lesson bookings, payments, lesson records and progress tracking. It keeps everything organised in one place, allowing me to spend less time on administration and more time focused on teaching.
An important part of this is helping you understand your own progress. After lessons, I can share personalised progress reports showing the skills we’ve worked on, feedback from your training, previous lesson history and what we’ll focus on next. You can revisit these in your own time to refresh your memory, reinforce what you’ve learned and prepare for future lessons.
As you get closer to your driving test, looking back over your progress can also help you recognise how far you’ve come and identify any areas you’d like to practise further.

A simple, organised start
If I have a suitable space, I’ll invite you to complete a digital pupil registration form. Once I receive it, I can set up your pupil record and explain the arrangements before your first lesson.
Lessons signed and recorded digitally
Every lesson is recorded and signed by the pupil on my iPad. Block-booked hours, lessons used and remaining credit are recorded clearly in one place. Receipts can be provided when needed.

Learning doesn’t stop when the lesson ends. I can share your driving progress, lesson feedback and what we’ll focus on next, giving you the opportunity to revisit what we’ve covered in your own time.

Easy to recognise.
Comfortable to learn in.
I teach in my Nissan Juke N-Tekna 1.0 Automatic, a well-equipped, dual-controlled car chosen with learners in mind. Its comfortable, raised and adjustable driving position offers a good view of the road, helping you settle in and develop your confidence behind the wheel.
Being clearly recognised as a learner driver matters to me. My car has prominent learner markings and a clearly displayed roof sign, making it easier for other road users to recognise that driving tuition is taking place. This helps encourage greater awareness and consideration from surrounding traffic, particularly at busy junctions and roundabouts, where learners may need a little more time.
The car also has a 360° parking camera system, which includes front and rear views. This provides useful additional visual information when practising parking and manoeuvres, helping you understand positioning, distances and the space around the vehicle. It’s a learning aid alongside developing your own observation and judgement skills.
I take pride in keeping my car clean, comfortable and well maintained so you can concentrate on learning in a professional, welcoming environment.
90-minute lessons.
A balance that works.
My standard lessons last 90 minutes because I find this provides a good balance. It gives you plenty of time to practise, build confidence and develop your driving skills, while allowing me to explain things clearly and address any difficulties along the way.
I can tailor each lesson to your individual progress, spend more time on areas where you need support and revisit skills whenever necessary. There’s also time to reflect on what you’ve learned, recognise your achievements and identify what we’ll focus on next.

Professional standards are important to me, and I believe every pupil should know exactly what to expect when learning to drive.
That’s why I provide clear, accessible information covering lesson terms and conditions, privacy, safeguarding and complaints. My policies and procedures have also been developed with the DVSA’s published driving instructor Code of Practice in mind, reflecting my commitment to treating pupils fairly, responsibly and professionally.
I want you to feel comfortable and informed before your first lesson. You’re welcome to read through these documents at any time, so you can understand how I work, what you can expect from me and the commitments I make to you.
